Loose booster packs are classified by weight, which correlates with the likelihood of a holographic card. Our public weighing guide explains each classification tier transparently, so you know what you're buying. This applies to loose booster packs only — sealed boxes and ETBs are never opened or weighed.
Do heavier vintage Pokémon packs have better odds of a holo?
Heavier packs have a higher statistical chance of containing a holographic card, though it is never a certainty. Standard factory odds are roughly 1 in 3 for a holo or better, and weight data can indicate enhanced odds. We disclose the weight classification of every loose pack we sell.
